Custom SLS 3D printing
An industrial technology for strong, accurate functional parts with complex shapes.
SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) fuses powdered nylon with a laser layer by layer. The part is surrounded by powder, so it needs no supports and can handle even very complex geometries, internal channels or moving mechanisms in a single piece. The result is strong, isotropic and dimensionally stable parts suitable for functional use and small batches.
Materials
PA12 (nylon)
A strong, tough standard for functional parts with good chemical resistance.
PA12 GF (glass-filled)
Higher stiffness and heat resistance for more heavily loaded parts.
Typical applications
- Functional and end-use parts
- Small-batch production (tens to hundreds of parts)
- Complex geometries and lightweight structures
- Parts with moving sections in a single piece
- Spare and assembly components
Frequently asked questions
Why choose SLS instead of FDM?
SLS is worth it for complex shapes, higher strength requirements and small batches. It needs no supports and the parts are strong in all directions.
What is the surface of SLS parts like?
A slightly grainy, matte surface. It can be dyed or smoothed depending on requirements.
Is SLS worth it for small batches?
Yes. Because multiple parts are printed in a single batch, SLS is efficient for tens to hundreds of parts.
