Custom FDM 3D printing
Affordable printing from engineering plastics for your prototypes and functional parts alike.
FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) is a technology in which parts are built by depositing molten plastic layer by layer. It is the most versatile and most cost-effective 3D printing method — ideal for prototypes, covers, fixtures and real functional parts. Thanks to a wide range of engineering plastics, we can tailor your part to the expected mechanical load, heat resistance or aesthetic requirements.
Materials
PLA
A rigid, dimensionally stable material, ideal for concept models and visual prototypes.
PETG
Tough and moisture-resistant — a great compromise between strength and an attractive price.
ASA
A material with high heat and mechanical resistance. It excellently withstands UV radiation and weather, which makes it ideal for outdoor use.
Nylon (PA)
An exceptionally strong, wear-resistant material for functional parts, gears and sliding elements.
TPU (flex)
A flexible material suitable for seals, damping pads and bendable components.
Typical applications
- Functional prototypes and proof of concept before series production
- Covers, enclosures and housings for electronics or mechanical assemblies
- Production jigs, holders and assembly templates
- Custom, one-off spare parts
- Small-batch production of functional parts
Frequently asked questions
Which material should I choose for my functional part?
For common functional mechanical parts we recommend PETG or outdoor-grade ASA. For highly stressed, wear-resistant components, nylon is the ideal choice. We are happy to help you choose — just describe the environment and the load the part will face.
Are parts made with FDM technology strong enough?
Yes. With the right choice of material, infill density and a suitable part orientation on the bed, the parts are fully ready for real industrial or home use. Strength depends slightly on the direction of the layers, which we fully account for when preparing the print.
How quickly will you make and deliver the parts?
The standard turnaround is 2 to 5 working days depending on the part size and current capacity load. If you need the parts urgently, mention it in your enquiry and we will check priority processing options based on the current order queue.
Need a part manufactured?
